By booking lessons with us, you agree to our policies. Our goal is to ensure a safe, professional, and enjoyable learning experience for every student.
1. Bookings & Cancellations

All lessons must be booked in advance via our website, phone, or WhatsApp.

Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours’ notice.

Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a full fee.

Refunds for block bookings will be calculated based on the lessons taken and may incur an admin fee.
2. Payment Policy

Lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to instructor availability.

Payment for each lesson must be made at least 24 hours in advance unless otherwise agreed.

Block booking discounts apply only when full payment is made upfront.

Any additional lessons outside the package must be paid before the lesson starts.
3. Lessons Policy

All lessons are 1-to-1 with a certified instructor.

Students must bring a valid learner license to each lesson.

Punctuality is required. Instructors may adjust lesson time for late arrivals.

Students are expected to follow instructor guidance to ensure safety and effective learning.
4. Safety & Conduct

The instructor reserves the right to cancel a lesson if the student is unfit to drive or behaves inappropriately.

Students must follow all instructions and drive safely at all times during lessons

Instructors follow all road safety rules and hygiene standards.

Students must inform the school of any health conditions that may affect driving
5. Test & Motorway Lessons

Mock tests and motorway lessons are subject to instructor availability.

Please consult your instructor before booking a practical test to ensure you're test-ready.

Use of the instructor’s car for the test is subject to their approval and availability.
6. Insurance

All lessons are covered under the instructor’s professional motor insurance while under instruction
7. Complaints & Feedback

We welcome your feedback to improve our services.

Any complaints should be emailed to info@firststepdriving.co.uk or discussed directly with your instructor.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time.
Driving Test Day Policy
1. Arrive On Time
-
Please be ready at least 10 minutes before your scheduled pick up.
-
Delays may result in missing your test slot.
2. Required Documents
Ensure you have the following with you:

Provisional Driving Licence
-
Theory Test Pass Certificate (if applicable)
-
DVSA Booking Confirmation (email or text)
3. Use of Instructor’s Vehicle
-
The instructor’s car may only be used if they confirm you are test-ready and safe to proceed.
4. Instructor's Right to Refuse
-
For safety and professional standards, your instructor reserves the right to withhold use of the vehicle if they believe you are not adequately prepared.
